Andre Agassi was born April, 1970 in Las Vegas, NV. He is an American retired professional tennis player and former World No. 1. He was the game's most dominant players from the early 1990's to mid- 2000s. He captured eight Grand Slam singles championships. Founder of the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation, he has raise more than $85 million for the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Acadamy for undeprivileged children in Las Vegas, where he lives with his wife, Stefanie Graf, and their two children.

Agassi retired from tennis September 3rd, 2006. In 2009, he published the memoir Open . In it, he writes about his journey to the top of professional tennis. He writes about having his life mapped out for him before he left the crib, groomed to be a tennis champion by his moody and demanding father. Agassi reveals bring unhappy and confused, unfulfilled by his great achievements in a sport he had come to resent. Agassi is honest in describing the highs and lows of his celebrated career.

Fun fact: His famous long hairstyle was actually a wig.
